Wood Activated Carbon is an acid-washed high purity high activity granular activated carbon manufactured by steam activation from carefully selected coconut shells. Thanks to the highly developed macroporosity, it is highly recommended for decolorization, purification, and decontamination.
It is widely employed in the treatment of all kinds of liquids in the chemical, pharmaceutical, or food industry, like syrup, glucose, oils and fats, seasonings and glutamate, wine, beer, juices, and sugar industry.

Application
For the decolorizing application, it has two important indexes for performance.
Methylene Blue adsorption: giving an indication of the capacity for adsorption of medium-sized molecules including dyes. It is higher For carbons which have a preponderance of mesopores (2-5 nm diameter).
Molasses index: the adsorption of molasses from solution can be used to give an indication of the capability to adsorb larger molecules, and is again strongly dependent on the mesopore structure.
